Which dye works better? (for hair)?

I have two different styles and colors to dye my hair red. One is Revlon Medium Auburn and the other is Nice and Easy Perfect 10 in Light Auburn. On the back of the boxes it shows the Nice and Easy one as being darker than the Revlon one despite the fact that it is the lighter color. So my question is to people who have used either product (color or brand), are they accurate? I'm a light~medium~dark brown (because of highlights from the sun) so if that effects them in either way too... Please help I don't want my hair to turn out bozo because I just winged it! haha Let me know!! :D Thanks much.
