I'm 38 and losing my hair, should I buzz it?

I'll eventually have the bozo the clown look which will force me not one buzz it but possible shave it all off. Right now I have a receding hair line with balding in the back. I think as long as I stay in shape and keep my teeth nice and white I'll be O.K. Answers from women would be great. I think most guys would say to just buzz it. More liberating and no baseball cap.
