When does Whitney port go out with Alex from the City?

So i'm watching all the episodes from season 1 of the City and I just watched the episode where Alex and Jay get into a fight at the club because Alex thinks Jay is cheating on Whitney with his ex Danielle. Anyways I just wanted to know what episode is it that Kelly introduces Whitney to Alex and they go out? Is that the first episode of the City or is that a part of Kelly's show Kell on Earth? I hope this isn't confusing. Thank you :)
