Why did my girlfriend put on clown make-up in front of me before dumping me?

I took her to a reasonably fancy restaurant. Thought it would be nice. Maybe even impressive. While I was chatting with her, she took out a pocket mirror and started powdering. I thought that it was a little weird that she didn't go to the bathroom to do that, but whatever. But she just continued. Powder powder powder. Lipstick, more lipstick....When she pulled the mirror away from her face, she looked like bozo the clown. She put on a red clown wig and said "I'VE GOTTA NEW BOYFRIEND!" I was shocked and started to cry silently. In response, she squeezed a red rubber device on her nose, and it squirted in my face.
